Circa 1947 Bond Bread and 1948 Leaf Jackie Robinson PSA-Graded Pair (2)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $2,133

Outstanding pair of PSA-grade Jackie Robinson cards from two classic sets dating to early in his Hall of Fame career. Each of these is one of Jackie Robinson's most significant and desirable cards. 1) 1947 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson: EX-MT 6. Portrait, facsimile autograph variation. Well-centered example with light wear to the four corners, a flawless surface, and a boldly printed reverse. 2) 1948 Leaf #79 Jackie Robinson: VG-EX 4. Bold colors with light natural toning on front, centered to the bottom, minor wear to the four corners (most noticeable in the lower left), and a clean boldly printed reverse. A light wrinkle extends from the right border to the right side of Robinson's face. This is a very attractive pair of Jackie Robinson cards, each featuring an ideal portrait image of the Brooklyn Dodgers Hall of Famer, and each of which would be a worthy addition to any Jackie Robinson, Hall of Fame, or classic-card collection. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200+. SOLD FOR $2,133
