1933 R306 Butter Cream Joe Cronin PSA NM 7 - Highest Graded!
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,422
Graded NM 7 by PSA. Exceptional high-grade example of Washington Senators Hall of Famer Joe Cronin from the R306 Butter Cream set. This is one of two graded at this level by PSA with none higher. Issued in 1933 by the Butter Cream Confectionery Corp., the R306 set is a very distinctive food issue measuring approximately 1.25 x 3.5 inches and highlighted by numerous Hall of Fame players, including an extremely rare and valuable card of Babe Ruth. The offered card is in exceptional condition for this issue (only one card, of any player, has ever graded higher than NM according to the combined Population Reports of PSA and SGC out of 456 cards evaluated to date). The card has just the light touches of wear to the corners and along the top edge as well as scattered age spots on the image, which do not detract from the overall appearance but are mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy. The reverse is entirely clean and features the Oct. 1 dating variation. This is an outstanding ultra high-grade example of Hall of Famer Joe Cronin from R306 Butter Cream. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $1,422
