1934-1936 R327 Diamond Stars Collection (53) Including Sixteen Hall of Famers

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $3,555

Outstanding collection of fifty-one different cards (plus two duplicates) from the R327 Diamond Stars series, highlighted by sixteen Hall of Famers. Nearly one-half of a complete set is represented by this assembly. This extremely attractive collection grades 75% Ex to Ex-Mt and 25% Vg-Ex (including a few lesser). All cards display with bright colors and crisp images, with light wear to the corners most commonly responsible for the technical downgrade. This collection consists of the following: #8, 10, 12, 16 L. Waner (HOF, Vg-Ex), 18 Hafey (HOF, Ex-Mt), 20, 22, 25, 28 Lopez (HOF, Ex), 29, 30 Manush (HOF, Ex), 31 Cuyler (HOF, Ex), 32 Rice (HOF, Vg-Ex), 33, 35 Averill (HOF, Vg-Ex+), 36 Lombardi (HOF, Ex+), two 37, 38, 39 Hubbell (HOF, Vg-Ex+), two 40, 41, 42, 43 Lyons (HOF, Ex), 45, 47, 49, 51, 52, 53, 56, 57, 58, 59 Bottomley (HOF, Ex+), 60 Ruffing (HOF, Ex), 61, 63 Jackson (HOF, Ex), 65, 66 Medwick (HOF, Ex), 67, 68, 71, 73, 74 Lazzeri (HOF, Vg), 76, 79, 80, 81, 83 P. Waner (HOF, Vg-Ex+), 84, 85, and 92. This is an impressive and very sharp-looking group, with a large number of Hall of Famers, which could provide the foundation for the assembly of a very attractive complete set of one of the 1930s most popular issues. Total: 53 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $3,555
