1926 to 1935 Babe Ruth Collection (4) Including Sports Company of America, Exhibits, and Goudey

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,778

Collection of four different quality cards featuring Babe Ruth from four different different classic card issues spanning the years 1926 to 1935. Each card is professionally graded and encapsulated (three SGC and one PSA): 1) 1926 Sports Company of America: Babe Ruth (SGC VG/EX 50, clean and crisp, perfect centering, crease and wrinkle free, with even rounding to the corners). 2) 1933 Sanella: Babe Ruth (Type 2, SGC VG 40, clean and crisp with vibrant colors, outstanding centering, light touches of wear to the corners, and a lower right corner crease). 3) 1935 Exhibits Four-On-One: Babe Ruth/Hogan/Berger/Brandt (SGC FAIR 20, extremely attractive with four strong corners, clean and crisp image, a small paper chip on the left border, and adhesive residue on the blank reverse). 4) 1935 Goudey 4-in-1: Babe Ruth/Rabbit Maranville/McManus/Brandt (PSA VG 3, excellent centering, even wear to the four corners, bold colors, and a small lower right corner bend). This is a very attractive collection of four cards featuring Babe Ruth in the prime of his playing career, all in extremely desirable grades (very attractive but not overly expensive), which would make outstanding additions to any Babe Ruth or prewar-card collection. Total: 4 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800+. SOLD FOR $1,778
