1923 to 1936 Unusual Issues Sample-Card Collection (7) Including Middy Bread, Uncle Jacks, and Star Player Candy

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $2,666

Collection of seven rare sample cards from seven unusual issues spanning the years 1923 to 1936. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (except for one PSA). Every card in this lot is a highlight! The 1934 R304 Al Demaree Die-Cut of Byrd, for example, is one of only two R304s of any player to ever be graded MINT by SGC or PSA (each has graded one single R304 as MINT) of the 267 examples graded to date by both companies combined. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1923 Walter Mails Game Duncan (VG/EX 50). 2) 1927 Middy Bread Clark (VG 40). 3) 1928 Star Player Candy Pennock (PSA EX 5, highest graded). 4) 1933 R308 Tattoo Orbit Mack ("Authentic"). 5) 1933 Uncle Jacks Candy Chapman (EX/NM 80, 1 of 1, highest graded). 6) 1934 Al Demaree Die-Cuts #5 Byrd (MINT 96, highest graded). 7) 1936 Overland Candy Corp. Kowalik (GOOD 30). This is an outstanding collection of seven different significant rarities, each in extremely high grade for the issue, which would be noteworthy additions to any vintage-card or advanced sample-card collection. Total: 7 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $2,666
