1922 Zeenut PCL Tony Lazzeri Rookie

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,185

Graded FAIR 20 by SGC. Extremely presentable example of Tony Lazzeri's Zeenut rookie card as a member of the Salt Lake City Pacific Coast League team prior to his days as a future Hall of Famer for the New York Yankees. Crisp and clean image with tiny surface abrasions on the torso and legs. Moderate corner wear and surface creasing in the upper left portion of the card as well as a smaller crease in the bottom right. Clean reverse except for a small ink notation reading "Don't Play." As is usually the case with Zeenuts, the coupon at the bottom of the card has been clipped away, as intended, to be redeemed for valuable prizes. This is an attractive example of Tony Lazzeri's rookie card, the key card to the 1922 Zeenut set and a prize addition to any rookie card or Pacific Coast League collection. Reserve $300. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $1,185
