1915 E145 Cracker Jack #61 Ray Schalk SGC NM 84

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,185

Graded NM 84 by SGC. Only three examples have been graded higher by SGC. High-grade factory-set-fresh card of Hall of Famer Ray Schalk. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered direct from the factory by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball-card sets ever produced. This is a crisp, essentially perfect card, flawlessly clean both front and back, with no stains, four sharp corners, perfect registration, and a particularly deep red background. Centered a hint to the left. The reverse of the card is also perfectly bright and clean, with crisp, bold black text. This is a very sharp card! It is rare to find any Cracker Jack in such high grade, let alone of Hall of Famer Ray Schalk. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,185
