1914 & 1915 E145 Cracker Jack SGC-Graded Collection (29) Including Seven Hall of Famers

Starting Bid - $800, Sold For - $7,703

Collection of twenty-nine different 1914 and 1915 E145 Cracker Jack cards, highlighted by seven Hall of Famers, each graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). This is a stunning collection of Cracker Jacks, far superior to the average collection that is most often encountered! Purchased by our consignor in the 1980s and 1990s (at that time advertised as Nr/Mt-Mt), all of these cards present with exceptionally bold colors, crisp images, and sharp corners but have been downgraded due to small technical flaws, such as tiny wrinkles, glue residue, or minute areas of paper loss. The SGC grades are as follows: 1914 Cracker Jack: One EX/NM 80: #10. One VG/EX 50: #16. Two Authentic: #42 and 142. 1915 Cracker Jack: One EX/NM 80: #168. Three EX+ 70: #67, 123, and 154. One EX 60: #16. One VG/EX+ 55: #75 Huggins (HOF). Two VG/EX 50: #6 Plank (HOF) and 42. Three VG+ 45: #11, 19 Bender (HOF), and 54. Five VG 40: #10, 13, 17 Bresnahan (HOF), 20, and 119. Four GOOD+ 35: #4, 5, 23 Comiskey (HOF), and 105. Three GOOD 30: #2 Baker (HOF), 7 Collins (HOF), and 9. Two Authentic: #25 and 39 Gandil (Black Sox). This is an incredible opportunity to acquire an extremely attractive group of cards from one of collecting's most classic sets at a fraction of the cost of higher-graded examples, while at the same time sacrificing very little (or nothing) in the way of eye-appeal. The equivalent SMR value for this collection (excluding the four cards graded "Authentic" and factoring in the seven half grades at the lower whole-grade level) is a conservative $2,792. Total: 29 cards. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $7,703
