1910 Tobacco-Card Collection (4) Including T209, T210, and T211 - All Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,778

Collection of four cards from three minor-league tobacco-card sets issued in 1910, each in particularly stunning ultra high grade. The cards in this lot feature players from the Eastern Carolina League and the Carolina and Southern Associations. Each is professionally graded and encapsulated and is the only example graded at its respective level with none graded higher. 1) 1910 T209 Contentnea Cigarettes Photo Series: Luyster (SGC NM 84); 2-3) 1910 T210 Old Mill Cigarettes: Hornhorst (Series 8, PSA EX-MT+ 6.5) and Midkiff (Series 5, SGC EX/NM 80); and 4) 1910 T211 Red Sun Cigarettes: La Fitte (SGC EX/NM 80). The condition of each card in this collection is remarkable! Only one other T209 Contentnea Photo Series card has ever been graded NM by PSA or SGC. Only two T210 Old Mill cards (of any player) have ever graded NM out of 4,765 evaluated to date by PSA and SGC. No T211 Red Sun (of any player) has ever graded higher than EX/NM by SGC (a sole EX-MT+ 6.5 has been graded by PSA). This is a tremendous collection of cards in unparalleled high grade from three very desirable, rare, and sometimes overlooked, tobacco-card issues. Total: 4 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,778
