1912 T207 Brown Background Walter Johnson

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $711

Graded EX 60 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of Hall of Fame pitcher Walter Johnson from the popular and very condition-sensitive T207 Brown Background series. Johnson is one of the key cards in the T207 set. Bright and clean, with a deep brown background and strong, square corners. Centered to the bottom right. The back is clean and well centered with a boldly printed Recruit Little Cigars advertisement. Due to the condition sensitivity of the set, Excellent is a much stronger grade for a T207 than many might realize without checking the SGC Population Report. Of the ninety-six T207 Walter Johnsons graded to date by SGC, only eight have graded higher. This example would be an outstanding addition to any high-grade T207 set, Walter Johnson collection, or classic Hall of Fame card collection. The equivalent SMR value is $900. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $711
