1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC NM+ 86 Collection (3)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $2,666

Collection of three ultra high-grade examples from the T206 White Border series, each graded and encapsulated NM+ 86 by SGC (all submitted by REA). These three cards were hand-picked by REA out of an extremely large collection of T206s consigned to this auction by a longtime advanced collector who purchased these cards many years ago in the days prior to professional grading. This collection consists of the following: Frank Arellanes (highest graded, Boston Red Sox, Sweet Caporal), Wid Conroy/fielding (Washington Senators, Sweet Caporal), and Cy Seymour/throwing (New York Giants, Piedmont). The three cards in this lot all possess outstanding centering, vibrant colors, bright white borders, and four sharp corners. Each of these cards are gems that could have easily have been graded NM/MT. This is an exceptional trio that would upgrade virtually any T206 set. The equivalent SMR value for the three cards in NM condition (SMR does not list a value for the NM+ grade) is $1,560. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $2,666
