1909-1911 T206 John Anderson - Broad Leaf 350 Back

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $3,555

Graded GOOD 30 by SGC. Extremely attractive example of John Anderson (Providence) with a desirable Broad Leaf 350 advertising reverse. Broad Leaf 350 series backs are unusual and very rare, though not quite as rare as the rarest T206 advertising backs (such as Broad Leaf 460 series, Drum, or Uzit). According to T206Resource.com, the Broad Leaf 350 series back ranks as the ninth scarcest on its list of thirty-nine different T206 advertising backs. This card, which was discovered by REA in an old-time collection of T206s consigned to this auction (another Broad Leaf as well as two Drums were also found and are offered separately), is only the second example of Anderson with a Broad Leaf 350 reverse to ever be graded by SGC and PSA combined (the other is graded PSA VG-EX 4). Clean and crisp with a flawless image, bold colors, and light wear to the four corners (most noticeable in the top left). Centered to the bottom. The important Broad Leaf advertisement is well centered and boldly printed in brown ink. A small wrinkle, which does not break through to the front, extends from the bottom border to the "350" and a tiny area of paper loss is visible under the factory line. This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire a modestly graded (and therefore presumably relatively affordable) yet still very attractive example of one of the premier T206 rare backs. Reserve $200. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $3,555
