1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA-Graded Hall of Fame Collection (12) - All El Principe de Gales Backs!

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,422

Presented is a collection of eleven different cards (plus one duplicate) from the classic T206 White Border series, comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers featuring a desirable El Principe de Gales advertising reverse. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA. El Principe de Gales is a scarce back, certainly not in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but very unusual and seen far less often the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. This collection consists of the following: Two Baker (both GOOD 2), Bresnahan/portrait (VG 3), Chance/batting (PR 1 MK), Chesbro (FR 1.5), Jennings/both hands (GOOD+ 2.5), Jennings/one hand (GOOD 2), Joss/pitching (VG 3), Kelley (PR 1 MK), Tinker/bat off (GOOD 2), Walsh (FR 1.5), and Willis/with bat (GOOD 2). This is a small but outstanding collection of cards comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers with the desirable El Principe de Gales advertising back from the legendary T206 set. The total SMR value in the assigned grades (factoring in the three half grades at the lower whole-grade level and excluding the two qualified cards) is $770 (without any premium assigned for the scarcer advertising back). Total: 12 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $1,422
