1909-1911 T206 PSA-Graded Collection (31) Including 10 Hall of Famers - All Sovereign Backs!

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,963

Presented is a collection of thirty-one different cards from the classic T206 White Border series, each featuring a desirable Sovereign advertising reverse, and highlighted by ten Hall of Famers. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA. Sovereign is a scarce back, certainly not in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but very unusual and seen far less often than the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. Within this collection are nine 150 series, fifteen 350 series, and seven 460 series Sovereign backs. These cards originate from a recently discovered original-owner collection of T206s. PSA Grading Composite: VG-EX 4 (3 cards): Beckley (HOF, 350 series), Brown/Washington (350 series), and Wheat (HOF, 460 series). VG+ 3.5 (1 card): Ford. VG 3 (2 cards): Bresnahan/portrait (HOF, 150 series) and Evers/with bat Chicago (HOF, 460 series). GOOD+ 2.5 (4 cards): Duffy (HOF, 460 series), Grimshaw, Overall/hands waist level, and J. Sweeney. GOOD 2 (10 cards): Chance/red portrait (HOF, 150 series), Gandil ("Black Sox," 460 series), H. Hinchman, D. Howard, T. Jones, Krause/portrait, Moriarty, Needham, Paskert, and Walsh (HOF, 150 series). FAIR 1.5 (3 cards): Ritchey, Summers, and Titus. PR 1 (8 cards): Brown/portrait (MC, HOF, 150 series), Clarke/portrait (HOF, 150 series), Crawford/throwing (HOF, 350 series), Ferris, Livingston, Powers, Purtell, and Reulbach. This is an attractive collection of cards from the legendary T206 set comprised exclusively of cards with Sovereign advertising backs in very desirable collector grades and with many highlights. The total SMR value in the assigned grades for twenty-two of the cards (excluding the one qualified card and factoring in the eight half grades at the lower whole-grade level) is $1,887. Total: 31 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $2,963
