1909-1911 T206 White Border PSA-Graded Hall of Fame Collection (22)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,304

Presented is a collection of twenty-two cards (twelve different plus ten duplicates) from the classic T206 White Border series comprised exclusively of Hall of Famers. Each card is graded and encapsulated by PSA. All cards have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising reverses (unless otherwise noted). This collection consists of the following: Clarke/bat (PR 1), two Griffith/bat (both Authentic, trimmed - one Old Mill), four Jennings/one hand (GOOD 2, FR 1.5 MC - Old Mill, and two PR 1 - one Polar Bear), Joss/portrait (Authentic, trimmed), Joss/pitching (Authentic, altered - Polar Bear), Marquard/hands at thighs (PR 1), Marquard/portrait (PR 1 MK), two McGraw/finger in air (VG 3 MK and GOOD 2), five McGraw/glove at hip (two VG 3 - one Polar Bear, GOOD 2, PR 1, and Authentic, trimmed), two McGraw/with cap (GOOD 2 and FR 1.5 - Old Mill), Willis/throwing (FR 1.5 - Old Mill), and Willis/with bat (PR 1 - Old Mill). This collection presents an outstanding collecting opportunity to acquire more than twenty Hall of Fame cards in varying grades from the legendary T206 set, the most popular and widely collected prewar-card set in existence, at a fraction of the cost of higher-graded examples. The total SMR value for just fourteen cards (factoring in the two half grades at the lower whole-grade level and excluding the eight cards graded Authentic or with qualifiers) is $990. Total: 22 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $1,304
