1909-1911 T206 White Border SGC-Graded Hall of Fame Collection (6)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,659

Exceptional collection of six different Hall of Famers from the iconic T206 White Border set. Each card is graded and encapsulated as Authentic by SGC (all submitted by REA) due to evidence of trimming. When our consignor purchased these cards in the 1980s and 1990s, before the rise in popularity of professional grading, they were described as Near Mint or better. All cards have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertisements on reverse unless otherwise noted. This collection consists of the following: Chance/portrait yellow, Johnson/hands at chest, Joss/pitching (Tolstoi), Lajoie/portrait, Mathewson/white cap, and Young/portrait. This is an extraordinarily attractive collection of cards, which present as Excellent to Near Mint without respect to the trimming. This group represents an outstanding opportunity to acquire extremely attractive examples of these classic Hall of Famer cards at a fraction of the cost of numerically graded cards with similar tremendous eye-appeal. Total: 6 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,659
