1912 E300 Plow's Candy PSA-Graded Pair: McInnis and Myers
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $5,333
High-grade pair from the extremely rare 1912 Plow's Candy card issue, each graded and encapsulated by PSA. 1) Stuffy McInnis (misspelled "McInnes" on the card), Philadelphia Athletics (NM 7, 1 of 1, highest graded). 2) Chief Myers, New York Giants (EX 5, 1 of 1, one higher). This unusual sepia-toned, large-format (3 x 4 inches) candy issue was not even known to exist until the 1960s! Plow's Candy cards are among the rarest and most distinctive of all cards of the era. Each card is bright and crisp. The McInnis is perfectly centered with four strong corners showing light touches of wear. The Myers, which is perhaps slightly conservatively graded, has a slight natural diamond cut and light wear to the four corners (most noticeable in the upper left). This is a very high-quality pair of these significant rarities. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $5,333
