1909 E90-1 American Caramel Nap Lajoie PSA EX 5

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,185

Graded EX 5 by PSA (submitted by REA). Only nine examples graded higher. Extremely attractive example of Hall of Famer Nap Lajoie in a portrait pose from the classic E90-1 American Caramel series. For an E90-1 American Caramel Company card, PSA EX 5 is a fairly impressive grade. This caramel card is considered by many collectors to be one of Lajoie’s most striking cards. Bright and clean, both front and back, with vibrant colors, a slight natural "diamond" cut, and four sharp corners. Centered towards the bottom. The reverse has bold black printing. This is an exceptional example of a key Hall of Famer from the most popular caramel-card set of the era. SMR is $1,150. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,185
