1970 to 1983 The Trader Speaks Magazine Collection (110 Issues)

Collection of 107 different issues (plus three duplicates, for a total of 110) of The Trader Speaks magazine spanning the years 1970 to 1983. The Trader Speaks magazine, strictly devoted to sports-card collecting, was published monthly by hobby legend Dan Dischley for over three decades. The collection consists of the following: 1970 (2 - Jun. and Dec.), 1971 (8 - two Feb., Mar. Apr. May, two Jun., and Aug.), 1974 (3 - Mar., May, and Aug.), 1975 (12 plus one duplicate of Sept. for a total of 13), 1976 (3 - Mar., Sept., and Dec.), 1977 (11 - missing only Mar.), 1978 (12), 1979 (12), 1980 (12), 1981 (12), 1982 (12), 1983 (9 - Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., May, Jun., Jul., Aug., and Sept.), and one Special Convention Free Issue (circa. 1976). Each magazine is filled with photos and information related to sports-card collecting. All of the issues are addressed on the back cover (except six). This collection was carefully saved by a very dedicated and advanced longtime collector whose card collection is featured in this auction. When we saw the stack of The Trader Speaks on the bookshelf, we knew that many collectors would appreciate them. This is a very sharp and attractive group of The Trader Speaks magazine, of great historical significance to the collecting world, representing a fascinating time capsule of hobby history.
