Outstanding collection of seven different postcards, spanning the years 1931 to 1958, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. 1) c.1931 Real Photo Postcard: Hack Wilson (HOF, Chicago Cubs). Graded GOOD 30. Presents as Excellent, downgraded due to marks on the reverse (year written in pencil and price erased in upper right corner). 2) 1936 H. A. Meade: St. Louis Cardinals team composite, featuring Hall of Famers Dean, Durocher, Frisch, Haines, Medwick, and Mize. Graded FAIR 20. Presents as Vg-Ex, downgraded due to paper loss and tape on the reverse. 3) 1943 Grand Studio Milwaukee Brewers: Henry Oana, notable as one of the first Hawaiian Major Leaguers. Graded NM 84. Blank reverse, postcard size, regional minor league issue. 4) 1944 Grand Studio Milwaukee Brewers: Bill Norman. Graded EX/NM 80. Blank reverse, postcard size, regional minor league issue. 5) 1949 Grogan Photo: Bill McGowan's School For Umpires, featuring Hall of Fame umpire Bill McGowan in his earliest appearance on a card. Graded GOOD 30. Sharp-looking card, downgraded due to heavy crease in the upper right corner and a small ink spot on front. 6-7) 1957-1958 Graphic Arts Service: Don Lee (EX 60) and Tim Thompson (EX+ 70). Detroit Tigers. Each presents as Near Mint, but has been downgraded due to light wear at the corners. This is an extremely attractive and eclectic collection of seven postcards, containing a few notable highlights, that would be worthy additions to any postcard or sample-card collection.
