1903 E107 Breisch-Williams SGC-Graded Collection (5)

Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $2,370

Collection of four different cards (plus one duplicate) from the rare E107 Breisch-Williams series. Issued in 1903, E107s have long been revered by collectors. The fact that the E107 set is the only major card issue of its era and includes so many players that appear in few or no other sets is part of its great significance and appeal to advanced collectors. While the cards in this collection are in modest condition, they are entirely new to the modern collecting world. Each card is professionally graded and encapsulated by SGC (all submitted by REA). 1-2) Harry Davis (Philadelphia Athletics): FAIR 20 and POOR 10. 3) Mike Kahoe (St. Louis Browns): POOR 10. 4) Mike Powers (Philadelphia Athletics): POOR 10. 5) Chief Zimmer (Philadelphia Phillies): POOR 10, advertising reverse. All five cards display several condition flaws, including staining, heavy creases, or missing paper. Despite these faults, this small low-grade group represents a unique opportunity for a collector to acquire real E107s at a relatively affordable price. Total: 5 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500++. SOLD FOR $2,370
