1943 The Three Stooges Back From The Front Title Lobby Card

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,067

Title lobby card from the Three Stooges 1943 short Back From The Front. This was the Stooges' seventieth film for Columbia and the wartime theme has them enlisting as merchant marines. A run in with the Nazis and Moe mistaking a torpedo for a beached whale are only a few of the mishaps encountered by the boys. The card (14 x 11 inches) displays minor professional restoration along the border areas and central image area, including cleaning and filling of a few pinholes, as well as a light crease in the upper left quadrant. The name of a former owner ("Alan J. Friedman") is stamped twice on the reverse. Excellent in its overall appearance. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,500+. SOLD FOR $1,067
