2010 American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Proof Coin ($50 denomination), produced by the United States Mint, complete in its original hardwood presentation box. This coin is composed of 99.99% gold. According to the United States Mint website: "The American Buffalo One Ounce Gold Proof Coin is the first 24-karat gold proof coin ever struck by the United States Mint and is the collector version of the official United States Mint American Buffalo Gold Bullion Coin. Containing one ounce of .9999 fine 24-karat gold, these lustrous coins are among the world’s purest gold coins. The coin is presented in an elegant hardwood box with a matte finish and a leather-like inset." Both the coin and box remain in Mint condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the United States Mint. Obviously, the value of this lot will be determined in large part by the price of gold at the time of its sale, which is considerably higher than our nominal reserve. Reserve $400. Estimate (open).
