This is a tremendous group of rare cards, a collection unto itself, assembled over a period of many years by an extremely dedicated collector. This lot provides the opportunity to acquire an exceptional collection of unusual boxing cards, with numerous highlights and rare sample cards. SMR values are only available for a small number of boxing-card sets. Nineteen cards in this collection graded EX or better (from the Teofani, the Champion, and Godfrey Phillips sets) have an SMR which totals $710. This total, however, represents only nineteen of the seventy-nine cards, does not include the rarest and most valuable cards in the lot, or reflect the value of the entire collection, which while difficult to assess (due to its rarity) is obviously much higher. Total: 79 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++. SOLD FOR $1,659
