1910 E75 American Caramel Prize Fighters Complete Set (20): #2 PSA Set Registry! (5.41 GPA)

Starting Bid - $400, Sold For - $1,778

Outstanding full-color complete set of early twentieth-century E75 Prize Fighters issued with American Caramel candy. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The complete set currently ranks second on the PSA Set Registry with an impressive overall GPA of 5.41. The PSA grades are as follows: One NM-MT 8: Britt. Two NM 7: Corbett and O'Brien. Six EX-MT 6: Hart, Munroe, Nelson, Sharkey, Sullivan, and Walcott. Seven EX 5: Burns, Fitzsimmons, Jeffries, Johnson, Ketchell, Maher, and McCoy. Two VG-EX+ 4.5: Dixon and Gans. Two VG-EX 4: Attell and McGovern. It is extremely rare to find these early boxing caramel cards in such high grade, let alone as a complete set. Compared to baseball cards of the era, these early boxing cards, which are at least as scarce, represent a particularly outstanding value. Caramel cards, of course, tend to be far rarer than their tobacco-card counterparts. This is an extremely attractive high-grade set of one of the most classic boxing candy issues from the early twentieth century. Total: 20 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $1,778
