1909 T204 Ramly Tobacco Johnny Evers SGC EX+ 70 - Highest Graded!

Starting Bid - $800, Sold For - $4,148

Graded EX+ 70 by SGC (submitted by REA). This is one of only two examples graded at this level with none higher! Presented is Hall of Famer Johnny Evers (Chicago Cubs) from the prized T204 Ramly series, one of the premier tobacco-card issues of the era. The Ramly series is universally recognized as one of the most desirable of all the tobacco-card issues, appreciated by collectors both for its rarity and distinctive style. Evers is one of only fifteen Hall of Famers in the Ramly Tobacco set. The card is very well centered, with light, even wear on the corners and virtually flawless gold borders. The portrait is particularly crisp. Clean both front and back, with a boldly printed reverse. This is a very attractive and outstanding high-grade example of one of the key Hall of Famers from this beautiful and extremely condition-sensitive set. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $4,148
