1942 It Happened In Flatbush One-Sheet Movie Poster and Complete Lobby-Card Set
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $593
One-sheet movie poster and complete lobby-card set from the 1942 20th Century-Fox release It Happened In Flatbush. The film starred Lloyd Nolan as Frank "Butterfingers" Maguire, a shortstop whose error years earlier cost the Brooklyn Dodgers the pennant. Here, Maguire returns to Brooklyn as manager and leads the club to an unexpected turnaround, all the while wooing the debutante owner of the club, played by Carole Landis. The one sheet (27 x 42 inches), which has been mounted to foam board, displays a number of small tears along the fold lines, tack holes in each corner, and a tiny border chip. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Mounted and framed to total dimensions of 31.5 x 48.5 inches. The eight lobby cards have been mounted together in a framed display. All have varying degrees of handling wear along the border areas, including small edge tears, minor creases, and/or tack holes; however, the central image areas remain free of any significant defects and the cards present beautifully with an overall Excellent appearance. Framed to total dimensions of 31.5 x 48.5 inches. The substantial size/weight of these items requires that there will be a shipping charge for this lot (which will vary depending upon where it is being shipped). The shipping charge will be billed separately from the auction invoice. Total: 2 framed display pieces. Reserve $200. Estimate $500+. SOLD FOR $593
