1902 to 1947 Unusual Baseball Pinback and Mirror Collection (15)

Collection of fifteen scarce baseball pins (or mirrors) spanning the years 1902 to 1954. 1) Circa 1902 "Ladies Base Ball Club" mirror. The mirror pictures Yeula Robertson (1st Base). The team name is printed along the left border, while the right border reads "Al. P. Gibbs, Manager." Ex-Merkin Collection. Vg-Ex due to light foxing in the upper right, and tarnishing to the mirror surface (otherwise Ex). 1.75 x 2.75 inches. 2) 1903 "Wm. S. Devery For Mayor" pin. Devery owned the New York Highlanders (with Frank Farrell) from 1903-1915 (Gd; no paper back; .875-inch diameter). 3) 1911 Denver BBC team pin - Western League Champions (Ex; oval; 2.75 x 1.5 inches). 4) Circa 1920 Sporting Life pin. The pin features an image of Uncle Sam, with the lettering along the perimeter reading "Baseball - Guns - Cycling" (Ex-Mt; with Whitehead & Hoag paper back; .875-inch diameter). 5) 1920 Al Smith pin. The text along the top and base reads "Al Smith Gave Us Sunday Base Ball." Issued during his unsuccessful 1920 campaign for Governor of New York (Nr-Mt; with Whitehead & Hoag paper back; .875-inch diameter). 6) 1932 Hull's Own pin: Bobby Brown (Ex-Mt; with Whitehead & Hoag paper back; 1.25-inch diameter). 7) 1933 Mrs. Sherlock's Bread: Montague (Vg; no paper back; .875-inch diameter). 8) 1933 PX3 Double Header Gum disc: Hack Wilson Brooklyn Dodgers pin (Ex, this is not actually a pin but is very "pin-like"; 1-inch diameter). 9) Circa 1930s St. Louis Browns "Boy's Brigade" pin (Ex-Mt; with St. Louis Button Company paper back; .875-inch diameter). 10) 1940 Babe Dahlgren PM9 pin (Nr-Mt; with Bastion Bros. paper back; 1-inch diameter). 11) Circa 1940s N. Y. Black Yankees pin (Vg; missing pin; no paper back; 1.25-inch diameter). 12) Circa 1947 "I'm Rooting For Jackie Robinson" pin with ribbon and charm.
