1991 Signed Game-Used Ball from the Baltimore Orioles' Four-Pitcher No-Hit Game
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $356
On July 13, 1991, four Baltimore Orioles pitchers made history by together combining to pitch a no-hitter against the Oakland Athletics at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Offered here is game-used ball from that contest, signed by each of the four Orioles pitchers involved: Bob Milacki (starter; first six innings), Mike Flanagan (seventh inning), Mark Williamson (eighth inning), and Gregg Olson (ninth inning). Each player has signed the ball, respectively, on a separate side panel in blue ink (grading "9" overall). The Rawlings official American League (Brown) ball displays light soiling and is in Excellent condition overall. Although there is always a leap-of-faith involved with game-used baseballs, this example has been consigned to this auction directly from one of Mike Flanagan's extremely close family members and we have absolutely no doubt that it is exactly what it is purported to be: a baseball used in the July 13, 1991, game between Baltimore and Oakland in which four Orioles pitchers recorded a combined no-hitter. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $356
