1940s-1950s Brooklyn Dodgers Pennant Collection (4)

Collection of four different Brooklyn Dodgers pennants, including two from 1955, plus a 1960s Los Angeles Dodgers pennant. Unless otherwise noted, all of the pennants are complete with their original tassels and display moderate-to-heavy wear (commensurate with their age and former use), including tack holes, minor fading to the fabric, light crazing to the painted words and images, and minor tears. 1) Circa 1940s Brooklyn Dodgers pennant. Purple felt with a depiction of a baseball and batting figure; lettered "Brooklyn Dodgers." Missing one tassel at the top. 27 inches long. 2) Circa 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers pennant. Blue felt with a colorful depiction of Ebbets Field and two crossed bats; lettered "Brooklyn Dodgers." Missing two tassels at the top. 25 inches long. 3) 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers pennant. Blue felt (completely faded to tan), with a colorful image of the Ebbets Field grandstand; lettered "1955 B'klyn Dodgers National League Champions." Missing all tassels, badly torn. Poor to Fair condition. 26 inches long. 4) 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Pennant. Blue felt with a colorful image of the Brooklyn Bum and a scroll displaying the names of twenty-six team members; lettered "Brooklyn Dodgers National League Champions 1955." 27.5 inches long. 5) Also included is a 1960s Los Angeles Dodgers pennant. Blue felt (faded to tan) with a "flying" baseball; lettered "Dodgers World Champions." Missing all of its tassels. 26 inches long. Total: 5 pennants, only 4 of which are Brooklyn. Reserve $200.
