1953 Roy Campanella "All-Stars" Barnstorming Program

During the 1950s Roy Campanella took part in postseason barnstorming tours, captaining his own squad of African American major league players. Offered here is an extremely rare program from his 1953 tour for a game matching "Roy Campanella's All Stars" against "Ed Lopat's All-Stars." The twelve-page program features Campanella on the cover, while the interior pages display small photos and brief biographies for members of each club, including Larry Doby, Joe Black, Jim Gilliam, Don Newcombe, Billy Bruton, Bob Lemon, Robin Roberts, Enos Slaughter, Yogi Berra, Nellie Fox, and Ed Mathews. The program (8.25 x 10.75 inches) displays a light horizontal fold and is otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $415
