1940 and 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Black Bats

This pair of Brooklyn Dodgers black bats is highlighted by a highly desirable example dating from 1955, which marked the club's only World Championship while in Brooklyn. The 1955 bat displays the gilt-stamped names (either block-letter or facsimile signature) of thirty team members on the barrel, including Robinson, Campanella, Reese, Snider, Koufax, Alston, Herman, Hodges, and Furillo. All of the stampings are well defined and the bat displays light-to-moderate handling wear. In Excellent condition overall. The other example dates to the 1940 National League Championship season and features the gilt-stamped names (either block-letter or facsimile signature) of twenty-five team members, including Durocher, Reese, Medwick, Reiser, Lavagetto, and Wyatt. All of the stampings are well defined and the bat displays moderate handling wear, including a few minor surface blemishes. In Very Good condition overall. Total: 2 bats. Reserve $200.
