1940s and 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers World Series, Yearbook, and Scorecard Collection (61)

This very substantial collection of Brooklyn Dodgers publications, spanning the years 1941 to 1956, is comprised of World Series programs (including many duplicates), an All-Star Game program, yearbooks, regular-season scorecards, and a number of miscellaneous items. 1) World Series Programs (23 total): 1941 (Dodgers), 1947 (4 total; 2 Yankees and 2 Dodger); 1949 (3 total; 2 Yankees and 1 Dodgers); 1952 (7 total; 4 Yankees and 3 Dodgers); 1953 (2 total; 1 Yankees and 1 Dodgers); 1955 (3 total; 2 Dodgers and 1 Yankees); and 1956 (3 total; 2 Dodgers and 1 Yankees). Five of of the programs have been scored. One of the scoring sheets is missing in the 1941 program, in one of the 1947 Dodger programs, and in one of the 1952 Dodger programs. A few of the programs also display a few stray written notations on either the cover or interior pages, as well as a few detached pages. Condition ranges from Fair to Excellent, averaging Very Good. 2) 1949 All-Star Game Program (not scored; Fair, with detached covers, light staining, and minor tears). 3) Brooklyn Dodgers Yearbooks (6 total): Near-complete run from 1951 to 1957, missing only 1954. Very Good condition on average. 4) Brooklyn Dodgers Regular-Season Scorecards (11 total): 1941 (scored; vs. New York); 1946 (scored; vs. Boston); 1947 (scored; vs. St. Louis); 1949 (not scored; vs. Boston); 1953 (3 examples; 2 scored; each vs. New York; 1 not scored; vs. Milwaukee); 1954 (scored; vs. Milwaukee); 1955 (2 examples; 1 scored; vs. Pittsburgh; 1 not scored; vs. St. Louis). Also included is a 1953 New York Yankees scorecard scored for an exhibition game against the Dodgers. Condition ranges from Fair to Excellent, averaging Very Good. 5) Miscellaneous Dodgers Publications (20 total). Comprised of the following: 1) The Dodgers 1941 - Today and Yesterday in Brooklyn Baseball, edited by Clinton Hoard and Charles Dexter (W. & H. Baseball Publishing Company, New York, 1941). Soft-cover, 56 pages. Gd, with detached pages; 2) Baseball's Beloved Bums by Joe Hasel (Weiser Publishing Co., New York, 1947). Includes Jackie Robinson insert page. Soft-cover, 80 pages. Vg-Ex; 3-20) Near-complete run of Dodgers spring-training media guides/pamphlets from 1940 to 1957, missing only 1954, but with a duplicate for 1955 (18 total). Fair to Excellent, averaging Vg.
