1904-1956 Baseball Sheet Music Collection (15)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $1,067

Collection of fifteen different baseball sheet musics, spanning the years 1904 to 1956, including one signed by Joe DiMaggio and another by Willie Mays. Every sheet music in the collection pertains to baseball in some way, and many (in fact, most) are highly regarded classics in the field of baseball sheet-music collecting. This is a particularly impressive group in terms of highlights, especially for a relatively small number of sheet musics. This is a baseball sheet-music connoisseur's collection, carefully assembled, including many rarities. All are ideal for framing and display. 1) 1904 Husky Hans (Honus Wagner pictured on cover). Vg. 2) 1907 The White Sox March (dedicated to Charles A. Comiskey and featuring portrait photos of all of the team members on the cover). Tape remnants on back cover, otherwise Vg-Ex. 3) 1911 The Climbers Rag (dedicated to Roger Bresnahan and the St. Louis Cardinals; portrait images of Bresnahan and Cardinals team members on the cover). Tape remnants on back cover, signature of a former owner on front cover, and a few professionally repaired tears. Technically Gd, but Ex in appearance. 4) 1912 Remember Me To My Old Gal (A's players Chief Bender, Jack Coombs, and Cy Morgan pictured on the cover). Vg. 5) 1912 Those Ragtime Melodies (Rube Marquard pictured on the cover). Vg. 6) 1925 Bucky Boy (Bucky Harris pictured on the cover). Tape remnants on interior. Vg. 7) 1929 The Song of the Loyal Giants Rooters (dedicated to John McGraw, who is pictured on the cover). Tape remnants on the back cover and conservation to two vertical folds on both covers. Vg. 8) 1933 Come On, Let's Root for the Red Birds (portrait images of eighteen members of the Columbus Red Birds, including "Daffy" Dean, displayed on the cover). Vg. 9) 1941 Joltin' Joe DiMaggio (DiMaggio pictured on the cover, signed by DiMaggio in blue marker ["3," faded] on the cover). Matted by means of tape along all four corners on the reverse, otherwise Vg-Ex. 10) 1942 Leave Us Go Root for the Dodgers, Rodgers (features a team photo of the 1941 Dodgers on the cover). Gd-Vg. 11) 1945 Why Do They All Pick On Brooklyn? (Leo Durocher and a team photo of the Dodgers pictured on the cover). Vg. 15) 1956 I Love Mickey (Mickey Mantle pictured on cover). Ex-Mt. Total: 15 sheet musics. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,067
