1914 Brooklyn (vs. Pittsburgh) Federal League Program
Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $1,541
Exceptionally attractive 1914 Brooklyn Tip-Tops Federal League program issued for a game against the Pittsburgh Rebels. The colorful cover features generic images of two Brooklyn players standing on either side of a large crossed-bat-and-ball design. The preprinted lineups include Cooper, Shaw, Evans, and Hofman for Brooklyn, and Oakes, Lennox, and Bradley for Pittsburgh. The twenty-page program (6 x 9 inches) is not scored and displays a moderate center fold (nearly invisible from the front), very light foxing along the edges of the front cover, and a few light pencil marks on the page opposite the Brooklyn score sheet. In Excellent condition overall, but closer to Near Mint in appearance. An extremely rare and ideal-for-display souvenir from the inaugural season of the short-lived Federal League (1914-1915). Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,541
