1915 Baltimore Terrapins (vs Chicago) Federal League Program
Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $4,740
Rare 1915 Baltimore Terrapins Federal League program issued for a game against the eventual league-champion Chicago Whales. The colorful cover features a small portrait image of Terrapins player/manager Otto Knabe, who is also pictured on the rear interior cover. The twelve interior pages feature advertisements and the Terrapins 1915 schedule. The preprinted lineups include Meyer, McCandless, Duncan, Swacina, Knabe, Doolan, and Bender for Baltimore, and Hanford, Mann, Zwilling, Fischer, Zeider, Beck, and Brown for Chicago. Any material from the short-lived Federal League (1914-1915) is rare and this program is no exception. This is the first Baltimore Terrapins' program (from any year) we have ever offered (and aside from this very example being offered many years ago, we can't recall seeing another). The program (6.75 x 10 inches) is not scored and displays light-to-moderate handling wear, including a few tiny edge tears (one repaired on the interior back cover with clear tape) and light surface wrinkles. In Excellent condition overall. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $4,740
