1919 The Cincinnati Reds Song Sheet Music

Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $237

Though the glory of their World Championship in 1919 was tainted by the Black Sox scandal, and the Chicago White Sox garnered most of the national press, both during and after the World Series, the Reds were universally revered and much celebrated in their own hometown. That fact is evidenced by this sheet music dedicated to the World Champions, titled The Cincinnati Reds, which features a team photo of the club on the front cover. The photo is dated "1919" and bears a credit of "Boellinger Cin. O." Words and music by William M. Schmitt. Published by Olympic Music, Cincinnati, Ohio. The sheet music (9 x 12 inches) displays a few light surface creases. The name of a former owner is written in blue ink on the cover, just above the team photograph, In Very Good condition. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 14.5 x 17.25 inches. Reserve $200. Estimate $300+. SOLD FOR $237
