1953 Milwaukee Braves Team-Signed Ball with Spahn and Mathews - First Season in Milwaukee

Official National League (Giles) ball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-seven members of the 1953 Milwaukee Braves: Spahn, Mathews, Grimm (Mgr., sweet spot), Hanebrink, Bruton, Pafko, Jolly, Cole, Logan, Burris, Ditmer, Cooper, Surkont, Bickford, Crowe, Wilson, Cooney (coach), Walters (coach), Antonelli, Crandall, Burdette, Buhl, Adcock, Gordon, Sisti, and two others (illegible). Signatures range from "4" to "7," averaging "5/6." 1953 marked the first year in Milwaukee for the Braves, who moved from Boston. The club set a National League attendance record of 1,826,397 that year, a number which strongly influenced the later move to the West Coast by both the Dodgers and Giants. The ball is lightly toned, with all of the manufacturer's stampings legible. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. From the B. C.
