To read more about the provenance of this ball, please click here.

Official American League (Harridge) ball signed in blue fountain pen by the following eighteen members of the 1937 Detroit Tigers: Greenberg (black fountain pen), Goslin, Fox, Coffman, Clifton, White, Laabs, Rogell, Walker, Russell, Perkins (coach), Bridges, York, Wade, Gill, Tebbetts, Bolton, and Poffenberger. Signatures range from "7" to "9," averaging "8." The vintage blue-ink notation, "June 15 1937," is printed on a side panel. Detroit defeated the Washington Senators 9-8 at Griffith Stadium on June 15, 1937, with Greenberg going 1-5 with an RBI in the win. The ball displays light-to-moderate soiling that is consistent with its having been a game-used ball (as are nearly all of the balls in the B. C. Clark Collection; see introduction for full details and provenance). In Very Good condition overall. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $830
