Duke Snider Single-Signed Baseball Collection (69)

Starting Bid - $500, Sold For - $2,133

Collection of sixty-nine Duke Snider single-signed baseballs, each of which has been specially inscribed to commemorate Snider’s induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. Snider has signed each of the official National League (Coleman) balls in blue ink across the sweet spot, below which he has added the printed notation “HOF 80.” All of the signatures grade “9/10.” Approximately forty percent of the balls display a few small areas of extremely light age toning. Otherwise, all of the balls are in Near Mint or Nr/Mt-Mt condition. These baseballs also have the special provenance of having originated from the Barry Halper Collection. As a point of reference, the current SMR value for a Duke Snider single-signed ball is $100, making this an outstanding investment lot. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Total: 69 baseballs. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,500+. SOLD FOR $2,133
