1926 Soldier Field Dedication Program and Ticket Stub - Army vs. Navy

Program and ticket stub from the formal dedication of Chicago's Soldier Field on November 27, 1926. The venerable stadium first opened in 1924 as Municipal Grant Park Stadium, but one year later its name was officially changed to Soldier Field, in honor of American servicemen who gave their lives in World War I. The game chosen for the dedication on November 27, 1926, was the twenty-ninth annual football game between Army and Navy, which was attended by over 100,000 fans. Today, Soldier Field is home to the Chicago Bears (since 1971) and is the oldest of the thirty-two NFL stadiums. The 144-page program displays only light wear and is in Excellent condition. The ticket stub (5.75 x 2.75 inches) remains in Near Mint condition. Total: 2 items (program and ticket stub). SOLD FOR $840
