Collection of forty-one "Big League Brew" cards issued by the Helmar Brewing Company. This issue, which is similar in style to "R319" Goudey cards, is one of Helmar's most popular sets and, in keeping with the company's tradition, includes not only Hall of Fame and non Hall of Fame players, but also Negro League stars, Japanese players, and even House of David team members. The set began production in 2010 and new additional cards are still being issued today! Series 3 cards (#s 241-320) can be easily identified with tag line on the reverse that reads "This is one of a series of 320 Baseball Stars." Series 4 cards (#321- 420) bear a similar tag line on the reverse that reads "This is one of a series of 420 Baseball Stars." The collection is comprised of the following cards: 271 Rudy York, 272 Hippo Vaughn, 273 Bob Johnson, 274 Sam Jones, 275 Tommy Bridges, 276 Charlie Root, 277 George Uhle, 278 Dazzy Vance, 279 Arky Vaughan, 281 Sam Crawford, 282 Thomas Romanach, 283 Augustin Molina, 284 Jesse "Nip" Winters, 285 Edgar Wesley, 286 Francis "Weasel" Warfield, 287 Clint Thomas, 288 Bienvenido "Hooks" Jimenez, 289 Armando Marsans, 290 Miguel Gonzales, 291 Pedro Cepeda, 293 Richard "Cannonball" Redding, 294 Vic Harris, 295 Ernest "Blimp" Phelps, 337 Ed Walsh, 339 Elmer Flick, 341 Kawakami & Chiba, 344 Rube Foster, 346 Art "Junior" Hamilton, 349 George Anderson, 351 David Harrison, 353 Harmon Killebrew, 358 Willie Foster, 359 Tony Oliva, 360 Frankie Frisch, 364 Charlie Gehringer, 365 Bob Feller, 366 Rod Carew, 371 Ernie Osatti, 372 Elmore Dean, 373 Bucky Walters, and 375 Mel Ott. As a point of reference, the average price total realized in sirraffles' past weekly eBay auctions for the forty-one cards in this collection is in excess of $2,000. Like all of the Helmar issues, these cards were intentionally produced with a distressed look, with most having rounded corners and rubbed edges. Near Mint condition overall. Total: 41 cards.
