Collection of forty different "Big League Brew" cards issued by the Helmar Brewing Company. This issue, which is similar in style to "R319" Goudey cards, is one of Helmar's most popular sets and, in keeping with the company's tradition, includes not only Hall of Fame and non Hall of Fame players, but also Negro League stars, Japanese players, and even House of David team members. The set began production in 2010 and new additional cards are still being issued today! Series 2 cards (#s181-240) can be easily identified with tag line on the card back that states "This is one of a series of 240 Baseball Stars." The collection is comprised of the following: 184 Judy Johnson, 187 Sam Bankhead, 188 G.C. Alexander, 189 Tris Speaker, 191 George Sisler, 192 Leo Durocher, 194 Pete Gray, 196 Harry Hooper, 197 Jesse Haines, 198 Christobal Torriente, 201 Masayuki Ishii, 202 Sandy Koufax, 203 Ray Schalk, 204 Honus Wagner, 206 Christy Mathewson, 208 Addie Joss, 209 Buck Leonard, 210 Joe Medwick, 211 Johnny Mize, 212 Cool Papa Bell, 214 Martin Dihigo, 215 "Smokey Joe" Williams, 216 Turkey Stearns, 217 Jud Wilson, 218 Louis Santop, 219 Willie Foster, 220 Louis Tiant, 223 Satchel Paige, 224 Tubby Scales, 226 Al Lopez, 229 Neil Robinson, 230 Mesa, Charleston & Oms, 231 Bill Nicholson, 233 Tom Zachary, 235 Sal Maglie, 236 Bingo DeMoss, 237 Ray Dandridge, 238 Alex Radcliffe, 239 John Henry "Pop" Lloyd, and 240 Traynor & Wagner. As a point of reference, the average price total realized in sirraffles' past weekly eBay auctions for the forty cards in this collection is in excess of $2,400. Like all of the Helmar issues, these cards were intentionally produced with a distressed look, with most having rounded corners and rubbed edges. Near Mint condition overall. Total: 40 cards.
