Collection of twenty-six Imperial cabinet cards (8 x 11 inches), issued by the Helmar Brewing Company. This set began production in 2010 and is still currently active (the company has plans to issue new cards in the future), with a total of sixty-eight different Imperial Cabinets having been issued to date. In keeping with the Helmar tradition, both Hall of Fame and non Hall of Fame players are issued in the set. According to the manufacturer, "no more than four Imperial cabinets of each player are made in a year." with the total production not exceeding 20 of each card. The players represented here are G.C.Alexander, Frank "Home Run" Baker, Charles Bender, Donie Bush, Ginger Beaumont, Ty Cobb, Eddie Collins, Buck Ewing, Goose Goslin, "Shoeless Joe" Jackson, Walter Johnson, "Wee Willie" Keeler, George McBride, Marty McIntyre, Germany Schaefer, Hack Simmons, Hippo Vaughn, Honus Wagner, Bill Wambsganss, Lloyd Waner, Rip Williams, "Smokey Joe" Wood, Rudy York, Cy Young, Ross Youngs, Heine Zimmerman. As a point of reference, the average price total realized in sirraffles' past weekly eBay auctions for the twenty-six cards in this collection is just slightly more than $1500. Like all of the Helmar issues, these cards were intentionally produced with a distressed look, with most having rounded corners and rubbed edges. Near Mint condition overall. Total: 26 cabinets.
