1974 Hank Aaron Signed 715th Home Run Full Ticket (Proof)
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $480
Atlanta Braves full ticket issued for the April 8, 1974, game in which Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run, thereby surpassing Babe Ruth as baseball's then all-time home-run leader. Signed by Hank Aaron in blue Sharpie (grading "10") on the front. Aaron's historic blast, which came in the fourth inning against Dodgers left-hander Al Downing in front of 53,775 fans, is still considered one of the greatest moments in baseball history, especially since Ruth's career home-run record was long thought to be unbreakable. This ticket, which is a proof because no row or seat number is listed, is one of only a few full tickets, and only the second signed example, we have ever seen from Aaron's 715th home-run game. (The other few full tickets we have seen were proofs as well.) Near Mint condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA. SOLD FOR $480
