Circa 1907 New York Highlanders Full Ticket
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $1,800
Rare New York Highlanders full ticket issued for a game at Hilltop Park, circa 1907. The printing along the top of the ticket reads "Greater New York/Base Ball Club/of the American League/Broadway and 166th St. N. Y." The reverse features an advertisement for "Imp Battalion" shirt collars. The New York Highlanders, who would later be known as the New York Yankees, played at Hilltop Park, located on Broadway between 165th and 168th street, between the years 1903 and 1912. Unfortunately, because so few New York Highlanders regular-season tickets from this era are even known to exist (we have only seen a few other examples), we are unable to more narrowly define the precise year of the ticket within that ten-year span. The ticket (3.5 x 1.5 inches) displays a number of light-to-moderate creases and is in Very Good condition overall. This is a rare souvenir from the earliest days of the New York Yankees franchise.
