Waite Hoyt Single-Signed 1980 World Series Ball

Official 1980 World Series ball signed by Hall of Fame pitcher Waite Hoyt. Hoyt has inscribed the ball "Good Luck/Waite C. Hoyt" in black ink on a side panel, with the signature grading "6/7." Hoyt won 237 games during his career, including a league-leading twenty-two games for the legendary 1927 New York Yankees. Hoyt, who was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1969, passed away in 1984 at the age of eighty-four. The ball is lightly toned, otherwise it remains in Near Mint condition. SOLD FOR $720
