1960s and 1970s Multisigned Hall of Fame Ball Collection (13) - All Personally Obtained at Various Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies!

This collection of thirteen signed balls originates from the personal collection of a former resident of Cooperstown, New York, who obtained nearly all of the signatures in person at several Hall of Fame induction ceremonies during the 1960s and 1970s. 1) ONL (Giles) ball signed in blue and black ink by sixteen individuals, including Zack Wheat, Luke Appling, Warren Giles, Frankie Frisch, Bowie Kuhn, Luis Aparicio, Bob Feller, and Lloyd Waner. The signatures are all very faint, averaging "3," with some faded beyond legibility. Ex. 2) Rawlings "Official New York Penna. League" ball signed in a variety of inks (averaging "6") by eleven individuals, including Chub Feeney, Billy Herman, Cool Papa Bell, Monte Irvin, Tom Gorman, Sam West, Ralph Kiner (sweet spot), Hal Schumacher (sweet spot), Bob Feller, and Earl Averill. Vg-Ex. 3) 1974 New York Yankees team-signed ball. OAL (MacPhail) ball signed in black ink (averaging "5/6") by twenty-one team members, including Munson, Ford (coach), Michael, Maddox, Buskey, Stottlemyre (sweet spot), Peterson (sweet spot), Dempsey, Kline, Piniella, Nettles, Bloomberg, Medich, Wright, Dobson, Beene, and Mason. Vg. 4) OAL (Cronin) ball signed in blue and black ink (averaging "6/7") by twenty-one individuals, including Dick Howser, Walt Williams, Jim Konstanty, Ken Smith (director of the Hall of Fame), and George Pfister. Ex. 5) 1972 New York Yankees team-signed ball. Wilson "New York Penna. League" ball signed in blue ink (averaging "9") by twenty-two team members, including Munson, Bloomberg (twice), Sanchez, Blasingame, Kline, Gardner, Alou, Beene, Houk (Mgr.), Kekich (sweet spot), Lyle, Allen, Henrich (coach), and Callison. Ex-Mt. 6) Wilson "Official New York Penna. League" ball signed in black ink (averaging "6") by thirteen individuals, including Stan Musial, Ted Lyons, Chub Feeney, Red Ruffing, Harry Hooper, George Kelly (sweet spot), Lefty Grove, Warren Spahn, and Buck Leonard. Vg. 7) Wilson "Official New York Penna. League" ball signed in a variety of inks (averaging "5") by the following six individuals: Mickey Mantle (sweet spot), Joe DiMaggio, Mike Ferraro, Cloyd Boyer, Sandy Koufax, and Hank Majeski. Vg-Ex. 8) ONL (Feeney) ball signed in black ink (averaging "4") by twelve individuals, including Bowie Kuhn (sweet spot), Pie Traynor, Harry Hooper, and Chick Hafey. Vg. 9) Wilson "Official New York Penna. League" ball signed in black ink by Satchel Paige ("3/4") and Ty Cobb Jr. ("5/6"). Gd-Vg. 10) ONL (Feeney) ball signed in blue and black ink (averaging "6") by Luke Appling, Mrs. Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Bullet Joe Bush (sweet spot), Jim Konstanty, and Whitey Wilshere. Vg. 11) Rawlings "Official New York Penna. League" ball signed in black ink (averaging "6") by eleven individuals, including Lefty Grove, Buck Leonard, Sam Rice, Chub Feeney, Monte Irvin, Waite Hoyt, Mel Allen, George Kelly, and Hal Schumacher (sweet spot). League" ball signed in blue and black ink (averaging "8") by nine individuals, including Jessie Haines, Lee MacPhail, Bob Feller (sweet spot), Lefty Gomez, Lloyd Waner, and Roy Campanella (secretarial signature).
