1957 Brooklyn Dodgers Program Signed by Jackie Robinson
Starting Bid - $200, Sold For - $840
1957 Brooklyn Dodgers program signed by Jackie Robinson in pencil. Robinson's signature has been boldly scripted in pencil on the front cover and grades "9/10." Robinson, of course, retired after the 1956 season, but, as evidenced by this signed program, he was still at least an occasional guest at Ebbets Field the following year. (We are assuming but have no way of knowing for sure that he signed this at the game.) The twenty-page program (6 x 9.75 inches) was issued for a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates and is partially scored in pencil for the Pirates card only. Tape residue is evident along the front cover and a number of interior pages display folds and creases. In Very Good condition overall. A rare Jackie Robinson signed piece dating from the club's final season in Brooklyn. LOA from James Spence/JSA. SOLD FOR $840
