Starting Bid - $300, Sold For - $720
Official National League (Giles) mini baseball signed in blue ink by the following twenty-five members of the 1952 National League Champion Brooklyn Dodgers: Robinson, Campanella, Snider (clubhouse signature), Reese (clubhouse signature), Williams, Dressen (sweet spot), Labine (sweet spot), Rutherford, Pfister (coach), Bridges, Morgan, Furillo, Shuba, Schmitz, Holmes, Branca, Van Cuyk, Pafko, Joe Black, Nelson, Cox, Loes, Roe, King, and one other (illegible). Signatures range from "6" to "9," averaging "7/8." Brooklyn Dodgers team-signed mini balls are rare! This is one of fewer than ten examples we have ever seen dating from the 1950s. The Dodgers captured their first of four pennants in 1952 but were defeated in seven games by the New York Yankees in the World Series. The ball is slightly toned, but otherwise in Excellent to Mint condition. LOA from James Spence/JSA.
